After a couple months of planning and preparation, we were finally able to connect via web chat with students from St. Rita's Elementary School in Brisbane, Australia. We joined each of our 6th-grade classes with classes at St. Rita's. The objective of this activity was to promote English and Japanese second language study. Both schools were able to communicate in both English and Japanese in a game called pass the present. In the future, we hope to connect other grades with our friends at St. Rita's.
